Welcome To Wood Hound Woodworking!
Hi my name is Bruce and I am so excited that you chose to visit my site today.
I received my introduction to woodworking in high school back in 1974 when I took wood shop as one of my elective classes. I was interested in woodworking and learned so much in that class and found, for me, woodworking is very rewarding and so much fun.
After high school I continued woodworking as a hobby, making items for friends and family. People would request something and I would design it and make it for them. As time went on my woodworking improved and I started getting orders from other people and making a little bit of money, which I put back into my hobby and started buying tools and supplies to grow my hobby and continue to make more items.
Over the years and through experience I have mastered the art of woodworking, so I developed this website in order to share the art of woodworking with everyone who is interested in beautiful handmade wooden products.
What We Do At Wood Hound Woodworking
All our items are made from solid wood, we do not use particle board or any other imitation wood products. We pride ourselves on the quality of the items we make, so using only real wood is a priority for our beautiful products. Many of the items that we make I have personally designed or re-created something we have seen out in the market.
Make sure to browse our website to see the quality of our products and what stock items we have to offer. Many of the items we stock we offer as individual pieces due to the difference in wood and grains that we use to make the product.
We also build custom one of a kind items if you have a hard to find item or something in mind that you cannot find in a store or craft show, send us a drawing or idea and we will do our best to create it for you. We also will cut items to your patters or design and build them for you.
Wood We Use
Most of our product are made from Pine, Red Oak, Cedar, Black Walnut, Purple Heart and Padouk; however, we can get about any type of wood you like as we have many sources to acquire more exotic types of wood. As with all things exotic and beautiful they can be rather expensive. We will always get the best price we can and give you total cost before we start any project for you.
